Jean Grady’s passion for painting began at an early age and was inspired by a blend of workshops and university courses. She began painting with watercolours, but shifted to acrylics for the freedom to create on a larger scale and to work quickly, maintaining a fresh semi-abstract style. Jean enjoys using vivid colours and a broad value range to create feelings of joy and excitement at the beauty of nature. Her paintings are inspired by the landscapes Northern Ontario, where she loves to hike and kayak.
